We are located in the heart of our small village in the Petite Champagne and Haute-Saintonge regions.
You can make the most of the tranquillity of rural life amongst the vines and sunflowers and the sunshine of the Charente-Maritime, which shines for over 2,700 hours a year (making us the second sunniest region in France).
Less than 25 minutes from our village you can enjoy the "Antilles de Jonzac" water park and the thermal baths, find Cognac and the great cognac houses, visit Saintes with its Roman remains: magnificent amphitheatre.
45min away, the beaches, you will have the choice between the large sandy beaches of the Gironde estuary at St-Georges-de-Didonne, with its calm waters ideal for your children. Or, a few kilometres further north, the beautiful beaches of the Côte Sauvage, Fouras, Châtelaillon, the islands of Oléron and Ré, Fort Boyard.
Within an hour you will find the towns of La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Blaye which are well worth a visit but don't forget to check out the surrounding vineyards. You can visit some of the estates by reservation to buy wine at the property.
We have also created a modern classroom, which is the core of Papillon Language School. We offer language courses for learning French or English. Why not revise your English during your stay with us? We have a large room (an old wine storehouse that has been renovated) that can be rented for receptions with caterers from our region.
